York Pollert, MAI
York is a Principal and serves as the Director of Lafayette Operations for Don R. Scheidt & Co., Inc. This position includes the responsibilities of managing the office, training new employees, negotiating appraisal fees and contracts, and marketing of the company's services. York has completed a variety of commercial appraisal assignments including existing and proposed hotels, retail, industrial, office, apartment, single family subdivisions, and vacant land, as well as mixed use and special use properties. He is an MAI Member of the Appraisal Institute. He is a Certified General Appraiser in the State of Indiana and also holds a Real Estate Broker’s License. York is a member of the Lafayette Regional Association of REALTORS. He graduated from the Miller College of Business at Ball State University with a degree in Business Administration. In addition York is active in his local church, and is active within Tippy Connect young professionals.
Monty J. Ewing
Monty Ewing is a principal and senior appraiser at Don R. Scheidt & Co., Inc., and has been there since September of 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/Real Estate from the Indiana University School of Business. He concentrated on financial analysis, with emphasis on accounting principles, micro, macro and statistical economics. He has served as Treasurer and President of the Kappa Sigma chapter of Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity, and is currently Treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 109 in Fishers, and President of Riverside Junior High School PTO for the 2015-2016 school year. From November of 1989 to August of 1999 he worked with another local commercial real estate appraisal and consulting firm in Indianapolis. Duties have included appraisal and real estate market analysis of investment grade property. He has completed assignments for office and industrial properties, as well as multifamily, retail, and special use projects in Indianapolis and regional cities. He is a specialist in auto dealership properties. He is effective with computer applications for real estate market analysis and discounted cash flow analysis, to include ARGUS. Other computer applications include Microsoft Word and Excel. He is also experienced in court testimony regarding real estate appraisals. Monty is a Candidate of the Appraisal Institute, and has completed all coursework toward the MAI designation, completed experience credit review, and passed the comprehensive exam. He was a licensed Real Estate broker in Indiana, and principal broker for Ewing Real Estate, LLC from 1992 through 2011. He is currently licensed as a certified general appraiser in Indiana (#CG69201403).
Troy A. Boyer
Troy is a Certified Residential Appraiser that has been active in real estate since 2002. His real estate experience includes: residential appraisals, residential appraisal review, court testimony, and loan origination. Troy has seven years of appraisal experience and has appraised a variety of property types. Valuations have been performed on various property types including, but not limited to land and residential properties, including one to four unit multi-family residential dwellings. The purpose of these valuations is for mortgage loans, marriage dissolutions, pre-listing appraisals, high end residential properties, estate planning, insurance settlement, relocations, FHA appraisals, etc. Troy graduated from Indiana University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. He is currently a State Certified Residential Appraiser in Indiana and is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute. Troy is also an FHA approved appraiser in the State of Indiana.
